While a hearing related to the new trial against former President Donald Trump was taking place in a Manhattan court, A subject whose identity is unknown at this time, inexplicably decided to set himself on fire.

The unfortunate event occurred around 1:30 pm, in a barricaded park located across the street from the courthouse at 100 Center Street.

Suddenly, The cries of people pointing out that someone had doused their body with gasoline and immediately set themselves on fire, alerted the authorities to take action and try to put it out. Well, although at first he seemed to sit calmly on a bench, in a matter of seconds he fell to the ground to writhe and begin to scream.

Some videos shared on social networks show another citizen trying to extinguish the disgraced subject with the help of the suit jacket he was wearing.

In another recording, A man can be seen trying to help the person in distress with the help of a fire extinguisher.

During an interview with the television channel PIX11News, A witness who was standing next to a man when he poured fuel on himself maintains that before lighting a match he asked him to step back.

It is still unknown if the actions of the subject who set himself on fire derive from some type of protest when he saw Donald Trump sitting on the bench.but authorities began investigating after an ambulance tried to provide first aid before taking him to a hospital.

It should be noted that the former president of the nation is credited with having improperly made a payment of $130,000 to Stephanie Clifford, an actress known in adult films as Stormy Daniels.

The delicate thing about the matter is that, in 2016, he allegedly used Michael Cohen, who served as his lawyer, as an intermediary, and by reimbursing him the money he tried to make it appear as an expense for legal representation, which is considered by New York prosecutors as a serious crime that involves 34 charges of falsification of commercial records.

Under this approach, once the jury that will define his fate has been defined, the trial will begin next week.
