Kristi Noem, governor of South Dakota and candidate for the position of vice president of the nation, this in case Donald Trump wins the November elections, tried to justify the fact of having executed her dog using a firearm.

As part of the stories he tells in his book No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward , which is about to go on sale, the 52-year-old Republican describes some somewhat controversial passages about her personality.

In one of the chapters, Kristi Noem She claims to have taken the life of a pet she had due to his restless behavior and being aggressive towards her family members and even towards her.

“I hated that dog. I realized that he had to sacrifice her. It was not a pleasant job, but it had to be done,” he confesses.

However, once his anecdote generated signs of rejection —especially coming from the Republicans— during an interview with the television network Fox Newsthe woman who defines Donald Trump “as the father the nation requires,” He defended his actions on the grounds that he had shot his dog named Cricket—a 14-month-old wirehaired pointer—because of the danger it represented to his children.

“He was an extremely dangerous dog. He came to us from a family that found him too aggressive.

We were his second chance. And it was. The day he was slaughtered he slaughtered the cattle that belonged to our neighbors. He attacked me and it was a difficult decision, but I chose the safety of my children”, he pointed.

However, the state president omitted any other type of comment about the smelly goat, which she also confessed to having shot at least twice after considering it difficult to control due to the aggressiveness it showed.

The truth is that, in her fight to become Donald Trump’s possible running mate, Kristi Noem has managed to attract media attention, first by revealing that she regularly traveled from South Dakota to Texas to visit the dentist, whom he then promoted through an infomercial lasting more than four minutes shared on his social networks.

And if this were not enough, it turned out that—legally— The governor is prohibited from accessing 10% of the territory she governs and where Native American tribes live, because she maintains that they are related to drug cartels and that meant being sued.
