Cher reveals why she likes dating men younger than her

For more than three decades Cher has made headlines for her romances with artists such as Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer and Richie Sambora. They all have in common being younger than her, and now The singer revealed what attracts her when interacting with younger men.

The 77-year-old performer was invited to talk show of Jennifer Hudsonand spoke about it: “The reason I associated with young men is because The men who were my age were older (well, they’re all dead now), but before they were always afraid to come near me. And the younger men were raised by women like me. “They are daring.”

Elvis Presley was interested in having a romance with Cherand when Hudson asked the singer if she had rejected the king of rock and roll, she responded: “No, it was just that she was nervous, and she knew the people around her. And it’s not that they were bad people, it’s just that I was nervous about her reputation. “I’m very shy around men when I’m not working.”

Last year Cher began a relationship with Alexander Edwards, a 38-year-old music industry executive. She has ignored criticism about the age difference, but she acknowledged (in an episode of the web series “Chicken Soup Date”) that she did not expect a romance to emerge between her and Alex: “I told my friends: ‘Don’t fall in love with a younger man, we’re too old.’ And don’t fall in love over text. Well, there goes that theory.”

Cher (whose real name is Cherilyn Sarkisian) also commented to Guardian that the two men she has loved the most are Rob Camilletti (with whom he lived from 1986 to 1989) and Greg Allman, father of her son Elijah Blue. The singer will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in a few months, although it is not known if she will attend the ceremony that will take place on October 19.
