The home should be a safe place for people, unfortunately this is not always the case, sometimes it is the place where they are victims of terrible crimes, as happened to María José, a 17-year-old minor who died at the hands of her neighbor within an apartment in Mexico City. The feminicide of the minor was the tip of the iceberg of crimes that the murderer committed.
It was on April 16 when the professional chemist, named Miguel Cortes Miranda, 39, stalked his neighbor and victim, according to a video broadcast in Mexican media. The subject waited for the student’s mother to leave, he even left the building to make sure that she had left. Once she verified it she returned to the property.
He entered María José’s apartment, sexually attacked her and stabbed herthe mother of the minor, Cassandra, returned home and discovered what was happening, she tried to defend her daughter, but the subject also attacked her with a knife, leaving her seriously injured.
