Biden rages against Trump for allegedly calling deceased soldiers “stupid and losers”

President Joe Biden lost his cool while talking about his family members’ military service and former President Donald Trump’s disparaging comments about service members.

According to The Atlantic newspaper, Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American cemetery near Paris in 2018, blaming rain for the last-minute decision. saying that “the helicopter couldn’t fly” and that the Secret Service would not take him there, but everything would indicate that it was actually a personal decision.

Supposedly Trump did not believe it was important to honor American war dead, even reportedly saying in a conversation with senior officials: “Why should I go to that cemetery? “It’s full of losers.” referring to the more than 1,800 Marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood in World War I as “fools” for being killed.

Almost six years after that moment, Biden recalled the scene, “They (Trump) were asked to go visit American graves. He said no. ‘He who wouldn’t do it was all ‘stupid’ and ‘losers’”… I’m not making this up. The staff who were with him recognize it.”

“That man does not deserve to have been the commander in chief of my son, my uncle.”or,” referencing Beau Biden and Ambrose Finnegan, who served in the military before Trump took office.

Even, according to ABC News, former White House chief of staff John Kelly confirmed last year that Trump made the comments privately, which The Atlantic first reported.

Biden called Trump’s comments “offensive” during a campaign rally in his childhood hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania, showing anger toward Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

“He said those soldiers who gave their lives were… ‘stupid’ and ‘losers,’” Biden said. “Who the hell do you think you are?”

“These soldiers are heroes, like all Americans who served this nation,” Biden said to loud applause.

Biden, who was in Pittsburgh for the second stop of a three-city Pennsylvania tour, said he remembered Trump’s comments about service members while visiting a war memorial in Scranton.

However, The Trump campaign denied that Trump had made the cited comments, “Joe Biden is repeating a tired old lie about President Trump to deflect the fact that he is the weakest commander in chief in history.”said national press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

“When President Trump returns to the White House, he will rebuild our military and restore peace once again,” he said.

Belleau Wood is a momentous battle in American history, and the Marine Corps reveres the terrain on which it was fought. The United States and its allies stopped the German advance toward Paris there in the spring of 1918.
