The most important event in fashion is almost here: the Met Gala 2024, which will be hosted by Anna Wintour, Zendaya, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Jennifer Lopez; however, many are wondering if Taylor Swift will attend.
The news is not positive. In accordance with Entertainment Tonight, The 34-year-old singer will not attend the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute event in New York.
A source told the American media that Taylor will not be able to attend the Met Gala so she can continue preparing for her wedding. The Eras Tourwhich will resume on May 9 in France as part of the European leg of the tour.
Until now, It is not known if Travis Kelce, the singer’s boyfriend, plans to attend the event alone.
As is usual, The Met Gala will be held on the first Monday in May, which this year would be May 6. This year’s dress code is “The Garden of Time,” which is inspired by JG Ballard’s 1962 short story of the same title.
This year’s exhibition is expected to feature 250 items from the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s permanent collection.
Since 2008, Taylor Swift has attended the Met Gala several times. The most recent time was in 2016, when the singer surprised with a futuristic Louis Vuitton look.
Recently, Taylor posted The Tortured Poets Departmenthis new album and the eleventh of his careerwith which he has broken several records in recent days.
Will Taylor Swift include the new songs in the shows? The Eras Tour?
Taylor Swift is about to return to the stage to begin the European leg of her tour The Eras Tour and her fans are eager to know if the singer will include the songs of The Tortured Poets Department.
Although the singer has not made an official announcement about changes to the tour’s repertoirerecently shared a Short on his YouTube channel that seems to indicate that he will sing the new songs on his tour.
In the video you can see Taylor rehearsing part of the sets from the different eras that shape her tour: Lover, Folklore or Reputation. All with a black and white filter like the aesthetics of his new album and with the song “Fortnight” in the background, which his fans interpreted as a possible clue.
There are also other elements that make his fans think that he could include the “Age” of The Tortured Poets Department, since in one of the fragments he is seen with the same boots that he used in the “Fortnight” video.
Another clue is that his dancers appear with top hats rehearsing what appears to be new choreography.
So far, Taylor Swift has not confirmed if there will be changes to the tour. Her fans will have to wait until next May 9, when the singer will perform in France as part of the beginning of the European stage of The Eras Tour.
