The double life I had Miguel Cortes Miranda He has captured the attention of the Mexican media, because while he presented himself to society as a chemist with multiple recognitions, in reality he was a serial feminicide sadist.

His capture, derived from the murder of a 17-year-old girl in Mexico City, revealed evidence linking Cortés Miranda to at least 7 other crimes of people who in the past were linked to him, either at work or during his time as a student.

Even since his arrest, several details about this serial killer were revealed, and one of them was his Facebook account, where he apparently detailed some of his murders, although he did so in a way that seemed artistic like a poem, thus managing to pass unnoticed.

One of these texts, published in October 2015, could refer to a young woman identified as Frida Sofia Lima Riverawho disappeared in Mexico City in February of that year, and with whom the feminicide apparently had a romantic relationship

“It didn’t take me long to realize that your hands didn’t move. I discovered that your body was hard and I was scared when I noticed that you were cold. I touched your back and it was nothing more than your clothes. I touched your neck and it was nothing more than stone,” is part of what Cortés Miranda wrote on that occasion.

“A long time ago I saw you die, you died buried by small crystals. Your skin became stained with blood and your body changed color to a scarlet red. Covered in blood, I laid you on an altar and cried at your feet. I decided to stay with you, or rather, with your inert body; I would expect you to open your eyes at any moment, or I would simply die at your feet,” she added in his post.

“Now I understand that my true punishment is where I am. Clinging to an inert body, I want to kiss you, but when I do it it’s not the same, I can’t know if you want it or reject it, I don’t like that situation, I said I would die by your side, but this is different. I’m with you, but it’s not you I want. You there, I here… one more anniversary,” reads another part of the text.

According to Mexican media such as the weekly Proceso, the young Frida Sofía, 22 years old at the time of her disappearance, knew Miguel Cortés very well, since even They are seen posing in a photograph that he himself shared in 2013 on Facebookand his image matches the search card issued two years later by the Mexican authorities.

Clara Lima, Frida Sofía’s sister, gave an interview to Imagen TV, where she declared that her relative did know Miguel and gave him the book “El Perfume: Historia de un Asesino”, which tells the story of a young Frenchman. who murders women.
