Hispanic baby kidnapped in New Mexico: her mother and another woman were shot to death

Authorities issued an Amber Alert this weekend for a 10-month-old baby of Hispanic origin who was apparently kidnapped after her mother and another woman were shot to death in a New Mexico park.

The Clovis Police Department issued an Amber Alert for Eleia María Torres on Friday after officers were dispatched to Ned Houk Park near Clovis around 4:30 p.m. in response to a 911 call about a person found two deceased women.

Eleia María Torres is 28 inches tall, weighs 23 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hairaccording to the New Mexico State Police.

New Mexico State Police said they do not have any suspects at this time, but believe the person was driving a brown Honda.

When the agents arrived, They located two deceased women, identified as Samantha Cisneros, 23, and Taryn Allen, 23, lying on the ground near a silver minivan. Both women were from Texico, New Mexico, according to a police statement.

A 5-year-old girl was found with a gunshot wound to the head.so she was immediately taken to a hospital in Lubbock, Texas, about 100 miles southeast of Clovis, according to statements from Clovis police and state police.

Officers found a baby car seat, a stroller and a small bottle at the scene, so they suspect the baby may have been present during the crime, police said in a statement.

“Officers were concerned there was a baby with the female victims when this incident occurred,” Clovis police said.

Officers immediately began searching for Eleia but were unable to find her.

Authorities believe Eleia was kidnapped by the perpetrator “and is in immediate danger”Clovis police said.

After speaking with the family, officers learned that Cisneros was the mother of the injured five-year-old girl and 10-month-old Eleia.

“Many details about this incident are unknown and are being investigated, but the whereabouts of Eleia María Torres is of urgent concern,” state police said.

“If anyone has relevant information regarding these victims or was at Ned Houk Park on this date, we ask that you contact the Clovis Police Department at 575-769-1921,” police said.
