Hezbollah attacks Israel with rockets after death of Lebanese civilians

The Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah launched this Sunday (05/05/2024) “dozens” of rockets hit a town in northern Israelin response to an Israeli bombing that today killed four civilians in southern Lebanon.

In a statement, Hezbollah said it launched several of its Katyusha and Falaq rockets, the latter of which were Iranian-made, against the Israeli town of Kiryat Shmona, although it did not specify the objective of this large-scale attack.

The report adds that this action It was “in response to the horrible crime committed by the Israeli enemy in the city of Meiss el Jabal“, an attack that resulted in the death of a family of four civilians, according to the Lebanese National News Agency (ANN).

The ANN reported that Israeli warplanes this morning bombed the Al Jaafra neighborhood of Meiss el Jabal, next to the border with Israel, “causing massive destruction.”

The attack on Lebanese soil occurred while a group of Local residents were inspecting their homes and commercial establishments.

Hezbollah and Israel have been engaged in intense crossfire since last October 8, a day after the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip, clashes that have already left dozens dead and displaced thousands of people.
