A Florida man murdered his girlfriend, took the body to the police and sent photos of the body to the victim's relatives

A Florida man is in custody after he killed his girlfriend, sent photos of her body to several people, including the victim’s ex-husband, and then took her body to a police station.

Alexander Roque48, was arrested in Florida City and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Yessenia Rodríguez Márqueza 44-year-old Cuban woman, online court records show.

The man went to the police station last weekend and explained to the authorities that inside his vehicle was the body of his girlfriend and the gun with which he had shot her, according to the report consulted by CNN.

The report details that after shooting the woman, Roque called the victim’s ex-husband and told him that he had killed her in the car. Subsequently He sent him a text message with the photo of the lifeless body of Rodríguez Márquez covered in blood.

Not satisfied with this, he made a video call where he was seen driving while he turned the camera to show him that his girlfriend was dead next to him. The witness managed to record part of the video call and handed it over to the police.

Sent photo to victim’s mother

But he was not the only person to whom Roque sent photos of the crime, as he did the same with the victim’s own mother, Odelsa Margarita Marquezas she herself revealed in an interview with Univision 23.

The woman, who lives in Ecuador, pointed out that she still does not know how she has the strength to remember the minutes of horror she experienced when she saw the photo that the accused of her daughter’s murder sent to her phone after committing the crime.

“That man had the sadism after he murdered my daughter to take a photo and send it to me. I have that image that I can’t sleep, I can’t live because I have that horrible image,” said Odelsa.

Alexander Roque had a relationship of several months with Yesenia Rodríguez Márquez and, according to his family, they had separated more than a week ago. They also pointed out that, days before the murder, Roque locked Yesenia and her 12-year-old daughter in her house, until the child’s father intervened.

I didn’t want her to work.

According to Telemundo 51, Yessenia’s decision to join the labor market seems to have been the trigger for the tragedy, as revealed by the victim’s mother.

“He was very cordial, he sent me photos of how much fun they were having in restaurants. But She wanted to start working and, according to what my daughter told me, that was the trigger.“revealed the grieving mother.

Odelsa believes that her daughter decided to separate from Roque after refusing to abandon her job and the 12-year-old’s studies, as her partner allegedly demanded.

On the night of the crime, it is speculated that the man waited for Yessenia to leave work to intercept her. “Only God and the two of them know how she got into that car.because she never wanted to go back to him again,” said Odelsa.
