The Uruguayan Guillermo Almadacoach of the Tuzos del Pachuca, described this Monday the match between his team and the Águilas del América, Mexican soccer champions, like a duel with “a lot of morbidity.”

“Pachuca has earned prestige throughout its history.Oh, journalism has taken the latest results as if we had a paternity over America, something that does not exist in football; This is a confrontation with a lot of morbidity on the part of journalism and with a rivalry for the last games”, he explained in a press conference.

Los Tuzos and América will face each other this Tuesday in the match first leg of their series in the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions Cupin which the confederation’s last ticket for the next Club World Cup is in dispute, the first to be held with 32 teams.

The direct elimination duels between Pachuca and the Águilas in recent years have been decided in favor of the Tuzos, a team with few fans that usually has a low budget and mostly a squad of young footballers trained in their quarry.

Something that contrasts with América, one of the two teams with the most fans in the country and that boasts the most budget, in addition to being the most successful in Mexico with 14 league titles.

“America, if it is not the best team in Mexico, is one of the best, because of the work that André Jardine (the Brazilian coach of the Mexican monarch) has done.” It is not only because of what they play, but also because of their team, which has a lot of football ability.. Our challenge will be to impose our game,” added Almada, a native of Montevideo.

The 54-year-old strategist admitted that The series against the Eagles is one of the most important in his careerin which he has won trophies in Mexico, Uruguay and Ecuador.

“We are fine, the players have a good appearance and confidence. We have reached definitive stages and now we are facing a beautiful challenge. We know that it will be complicated and difficult, of great quality because there are good players in front of us, but we trust our players and the work we have done”, stated Almada.

The winner of this series will face the winner of the other semifinal in the final of the Champions Cup, between the Mexican Rayados del Monterrey and the American Columbus Crew, MLS monarch.
