Alleged sexual abuse: Kalimba faces legal proceedings for events that occurred in 2020

Kalimba is once again facing justice, this time for his alleged involvement in a sexual abuse case that took place in 2020, involving the influencer and singer Melissa Galindo.

According to what was published, in the hearing that took place on April 17 at the Reclusorio Oriente in Mexico City, The judge determined that there were sufficient elements to continue the judicial processbut will allow the accused to remain free.

From that moment on, A period of six months was established to carry out the pertinent investigations.

What happened between Melissa Galindo and Kalimba?

Melissa Galindo and Kalimba met for professional reasons, according to what the influencer says. She wanted to launch her career as a singer and the ‘Tocando Fondo’ singer told her that she was about to start her own record label.

In March 2023, Melissa Galindo publicly denounced Kalimba for sexual abuse, alleging that in 2020 he touched her without her consent and verbally assaulted her.

Galindo went live on his Instagram account to publicly denounce the sexual abuse he suffered from Kalimba that year.

The influencer, originally from the state of Sinaloa, told her followers that The attacks occurred repeatedly. and that he used their professional relationship to take advantage of her.

On that occasion, he was released by the Second Criminal Judge, Daniel Farah Godoy, since they did not find sufficient evidence against the singer.

Upon leaving the audience, the composer also appeared calm and serene. He assured: “I am very calm, I continue to trust the authorities, I continue to trust the law. “My innocence will be proven with the process that follows, I am there and there is nothing more to say.”

His lawyer, Eliser García, celebrated the period granted for the investigation because he is sure that they will not find elements against his client.

“I don’t regret for a single second having raised my voice. I am doing this to create a change in society, where the last ones who are afraid to speak are the victims,” were parts of his words.
