At the beginning of the awards ceremony Oscardriver Jimmy Kimmel made a joke about one of the nominated films, “Poor Things”, pointing out that the parts they showed of it at the event were “the little that could be presented on television” due to the daring nature of the remaining scenes. Immediately the camera took Emma Stone (protagonist of the film) and many interpreted that what he said was “imbecile.”

It’s been more than a month, and now Stone told The Hollywood Reporter that she in no way said that, and that she has no problem with Kimmel.: “What if I was upset by what he said? No! I didn’t call him an idiot. She wasn’t mad at him at all. I’ll have to look into that. “I’m almost offense-proof.”

Until now, Jimmy Kimmel has not made any comment on the statements of Emma, who coincidentally obtained the Oscar as Best Actress for her work in “Poor Things”. The film also won in the categories of Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Costumes and Best Production Design.
