Electoral and political violence in Mexico continues to increase, the most recent event occurred in Oaxaca, when Cancino Gómez Agarmayor of San José Independencia and her husband Alberto Antonio Garcíawho serves as treasurer of the same City Council and is also a candidate for mayor for the Morena party, were reported as not located since April 17, 2024, as reported by the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Oaxaca (FGEO).
