President Joe Biden summoned former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton to a gala to be held in New York to help him raise $25 million in donations for his re-election campaign.

In a new attempt to boost his image, the 81-year-old Democrat will use politicians who once had better performance ratings when they governed the nation.

The objective, in addition to sending a signal of unity among Democrats, is to close the quarter with the greatest amount of money available to invest in advertising in the battleground states where Donald Trump’s campaign has not taken off as Republicans expected.

It is noteworthy that, at the beginning of this month, the conservatives only had $42 million dollars in cash to promote who will be their candidate for the presidential elections, a figure that contrasts with the $155 million dollars destined to promote the re-election of Joe Biden.

Prior to the gala, which will take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York, Kevin Muñoz, spokesperson for Joe Biden’s campaign, released a statement stating that Donald Trump lacks the financial and citizen support to try to win the elections.

“Democrats are united and energized behind President Biden’s re-election campaign, and that will be fully demonstrated in New York City.

Donald Trump has no strength heading into the general election: large portions of Republican primary voters have made it clear that they have no interest in voting for him this November, Republican leaders like his own vice president are openly opposed to him, and even if Trump wanted to reach to them (he doesn’t have them!), he has no money or energy to do it.

Elections are won by working to form a broad and diverse coalition, and Joe Biden is doing precisely that,” the letter states.

Notable guests expected to attend the gala include: Mindy Kaling, Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo and Lea Michele

In this sense The event is projected to draw more than 5,000 Democrats.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s campaign attempted to raise funds by sending emails to his supporters.
