Luis “Matador” Hernández, former Tigres player, threw everything at him Nahuel Guzman after the episode with lasers in the match against Rayados de Monterrey.

“With Nahuel… he is a guy…, an idi… who does not deserve to be in Mexican soccer, Let them kick him out of Mexican soccer,” said Luis ‘Matador’ Hernández, former feline striker.

The Tigres UANL goalkeeper has been the subject of controversy during the last week in Mexican soccer. Guzmán was injured and from the stands he took advantage with a laser to bother the Monterrey players.

The Rayados de Monterrey filed a complaint with the Liga MX Disciplinary Commission and they provided evidence with videos so that Guzmán could be sanctioned.

Esteban Andrada, goalkeeper from Monterrey, stated that he would accept apologies from people if they arrived.

“Yes, he sent me a message, but hey, if he asks me personally, I will surely accept it,” commented Esteban Andrada, days after the Clásico Regio.

The sanction that awaits Nahuel Guzmán

Rayados de Monterrey issued a statement apologizing for the laser incident and acknowledged that it will have a sanction.

“Nahuel is sorry for what happened with the laser. Of course we don’t agree with what happened, he knows it, we have codes and internal regulations. A sanction is going to be made as it always has been,” the sports vice president of the cats, Antonio Sancho, explained this Tuesday.

The president of Monterrey, José Antonio Noriega, hinted last Monday that the cats’ board knew that Nahuel was going to use the laser, something that Sancho denied.

“The simple fact that it is insinuated that we knew or were behind this is disrespectful to me.”

In addition to the sanction of the Tigres, the Disciplinary Commission of the Mexican Football Federation issued a press release last Monday in which it reported on an investigation into Guzmán at the request of Monterrey.

“Once the Disciplinary Commission carries out the complete analysis and integrates the file, will communicate the possible consequences to the player.”
