A Virginia woman is partying after testing the odds of winning the lottery and prove that luck sometimes comes home more than twice. The Virginia Lottery has released the story of Gayla Guishard who won $1 million dollars with a scratch-off, when in 2021 she had barely won $100,000 dollars playing a different lottery.

one friday night Gayla Guishard made a stop at Race Way Station in Isle of Wight Countyabout 18 miles north of Suffolk County, where he decided to test his luck again in the Virginia Millions scratch-off game.

After buying her ticket, the lucky woman from Virginia asked the gas station owners to check it and when they did immediately Guishard was told he had won $1 million. As expected, Gayla exploded with emotion along with the owners of the gas station.

“I just screamed! We were all there screaming!” Guishard told lottery officials. And when customers outside the establishment heard the commotion, they entered the store to see what was happening. Guishard and the owners decided to remain silent. “We said, ‘Nothing!’ and we were very quiet,” Guishard explained.

Gayla Guishard has the option to take home the $1 million, pre-tax, in annual payments over 30 years or a one-time cash option of $571,000 before taxes; according to the lottery. On the other hand Race Way station received a $10,000 bonus from the lottery for selling the winning ticket.

The Odds of winning Virginia Millions are 1 in 3.5 and the Odds of winning the $1 million jackpot are 1 in 612,000according to the Virginia Lottery.
