Two teenagers are charged with animal cruelty for allegedly killing 14 kangaroos

The police of Australia are accusing two teenagers of animal cruelty for allegedly having deliberately killed 14 kangaroos , including two young, near the coastal town of Batemans Bay , more than 200 miles south of Sydney.

Both, from 17 years, must appear on 22 of next November for the crimes, which would carry a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and more than $ 16,000 Dollars fine .

The incident became known on Saturday when the Police responded to a call to report the sighting of kangaroos in the Long Beach , where found the remains of five kangaroos and a baby .

Shortly afterwards, the authorities found the bodies of another seven kangaroos and another baby on the beach near Maloney’s beach, as well as another injured puppy , who was transferred to the “Wires” animal care and rescue center.

The surviving calf, a female named Hope, is in the process of recovery.
