How should you play the Powerball Double Play?
Double Play is a drawing that gives Powerball players a second chance. You can participate again with your Powerball numbers in a separate drawing, with a maximum cash prize of $10 million.
To play, you must add the Double Play feature to your Powerball ticket for the price of an additional $1 per play.
Important: Powerball tickets that include the Double Play feature can be eligible to win prizes in separate drawings.
How do you get your prize?
As with Powerball, Double Play prizes must be claimed in the state where the winning ticket was purchased. Players in general may claim a prize of up to $600 dollars at any establishment authorized to sell lottery in the geographic location where they obtained the ticket.
Prizes over $600 can be claimed at lottery headquarters in each case. However, there are some authorized establishments, whose address should be duly consulted as appropriate.
You will be able to claim your prize between 90 days and one year from the date of the drawing, depending on the restrictions of the jurisdiction in which the ticket was sold. The expiration date is usually on the return of the ticket. If the expiration date is not listed, check your state lottery for information.
When is the Powerball Double Play played?
Double Play draws are held three days a week, specifically, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, immediately after the Powerball drawing.
