Andrzej Duda, President of Poland, met with Donald Trump in his New York office to discuss the war in Ukraine and the role assumed by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

The European president went to Trump Tower to talk for a couple of hours with the 77-year-old Republican who aspires to govern the country again, but who is currently facing a trial accused of 34 charges, which could send him to prison.

According to the New York magnate’s campaign team,Both figures addressed the issue of the war waged between Ukraine and Russia, as well as the increase in defense spending that NATO member countries should make to safeguard their sovereignty.

The Polish president is in favor of supporting the government headed by Volodymyr Zelensky and that is why he has asked the US Congress to extend its support so that he can repel the attacks orchestrated by the Kremlin.

Although the meeting with Trump took place behind closed doors, the former president praised Duda during the moment when they together posed for a photograph before photojournalists.

“He has done a fantastic job and he is my friend. We had four great years together. “We are behind Poland at all times,” the Republican was heard saying.

It should be noted that, even though the New Yorker supports Ukraine, he recently clarified that the financial and arms support granted by the United States must be done in the form of financial loans with the commitment to be covered later and no longer as a gift.

“We continue to give gifts worth billions and billions of dollars, and we will look at it. “We are thinking about doing it in the form of a loan instead of just a gift,” she expressed.

Over the course of the year, Donald Trump has also met with David Cameron, British Foreign Secretary; with Viktor Orbán, Hungarian Prime Minister; and even with Javier Milei, president of Argentina.

All of these characters seem to have detected that the controversial businessman has a real chance of winning the presidential race again and prefer to advance some matters of interest in their respective work agendas.

And, according to the results of the main national surveys, Trump continues to be ahead of Biden, who is still more vulnerable among citizens’ preferences when the names of independent candidates are hypothetically added to the ballot.
