Natalia Jiménez opened her heart to the world and her fans by talking about the reasons behind her divorce with businessman Daniel Trueba, father of her daughter Alessandra.
As part of the closing of her tour in Mexico, the singer gave several interviews and shared details about the traumatic process she experienced in her relationship.
In a meeting with Adela Micha on her program ‘La Saga’, broadcast on YouTube, she confessed that she felt “controlled” by her ex-partner.
“They didn’t like that I came to Mexico, that I had independence, control. “I didn’t want to continue living like this, I wanted to be able to have my career back, to be an independent woman again.”
Jiménez married in 2009 and their relationship was ending in 2015, a year later their daughter Alessandra was born and the divorce process ended in 2020.
The interpreter of ‘I’m dying’ told Micha: “I became a vase”referring to the fact that during their relationship she was in charge of household chores and had little decision-making power.
“I was locked in a house, and I cooked. The one who said ‘I don’t iron, I don’t sweep or I go for cigarettes’, that was me, the one who said ‘I do iron, I do sweep’, she joked with the presenter, remembering that stage of her life.

In the Telemundo program ‘Hoy Día’, the interpreter also referred to her relationship with Trueba and provided more disturbing details.
She claimed that he made her believe that she suffered from non-existent disorders, causing her to plunge into anguish and despair.
He described his relationship as abusive and mentioned that speaking out helped him recognize this situation. Additionally, she found refuge in activities like yoga to get through this difficult time.
“These people use the tool of destruction to feel good about themselves”, said the singer born in Madrid. She explained that she was living a destructive cycle within her marriage and that she knew it had to end.
She noted that since her divorce, she has taken control of her life and is focused on growing her career.
For her, her daughter Alessandra is the most important thing and she is willing to continue fighting for her.
Natalia Jiménez is engaged
“I have a divine daughter, I reproduced,” she told Adela Micha and stated that she has no intention of becoming a mother again.
Jiménez, after that difficult relationship, is Arnold Hemke, a businessman of Mexican origin who is also his manager.
Their relationship blossomed after the singer’s divorce and in 2023 they got engaged. She shared the news through her Instagram account and wrote:
“I said yes !!! 😍💍 If El Escorial was important to me before, now it will be much more important, not only for me, but for you too ♥️
I am so proud of the love we have and everything we have accomplished together, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Thank you for appearing in my life and filling it with love and joy.”
