Will Beyoncé finally win her first Grammy for album of the year? His fans believe so, since they consider that his new album Act II: Cowboy Carter It is the best of his career.
Although Beyoncé is the artist with the most Grammy awards, with 32 statuettes, has yet to win in the Album of the Year category.
In her career, Beyoncé has been nominated four times in the Album of the Year category in the last two decades by Am… Sasha Fierce (2010), Beyoncé (2015), Lemonade (2017) and Renaissance (2023).
In March, the singer published Act II: Cowboy Carterthe eighth album of his career and the first dedicated to country music. In total, 27 songs make up the album, among which “Texas Hold ‘Em” or “II Most Wanted” stand out.
The album also features collaborations with artists such as Miley Cyrus, Post Malone and Dolly Parton.
Upon its release, Beyoncé’s album has been praised by critics and fans alike.who consider it the best the singer has done so far.
Nicholas Rice, senior news editor at People magazine, believes Beyoncé deserves to take the Grammy for Album of the Year at the upcoming Grammy Awards.
On Metacritic, a website that collects reviews, Act II: Cowboy Carter It earned a score of 92/100, based on critics’ reviews.
Beyoncé fans will have to wait until later this year to find out if the singer’s album receives another nomination for Album of the Year and until 2025 to see if the artist finally wins the award.
Records of Cowboy Carter
The first week of April, Act II: Cowboy Carter reached the top of the Billboard country albums chartmaking the 42-year-old singer the first black woman to top the chart.
In addition, Three songs from the album occupied the top three spots on the Hot Country Songs chart.: “Texas Hold ‘Em”, “II Most Wanted” and “Jolene”. This also made her the first woman to have three songs in the top three spots on the chart simultaneously.
In February, “Texas Hold ‘Em” reached No. 1 on the country airplay chart, making her the first black woman to top that chart.
Beyoncé posted Act ll: Cowboy Carter, the eighth album of his career, on February 29. The album features multiple collaborations from artists such as Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton, Post Malone, among others.
Act II: Cowboy Carter It also reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart.which includes albums from all genres, becoming his eighth No. 1 album on the chart.
The album reached number 1 after selling 407,000 album units in the United States. in the week ending April 4.
