According to Alessandra Rosaldo, it was after becoming a mother for the first time, along with her husband Eugenio Derbez, that hormonal changes began due to menopause.
“In my case it has been absolutely physical, of course with its emotional things as well, but the physical part has been so strong that feeling bad and feeling myself dying physically led me to become emotional, to be lost.”, he told Aislinn Derbez.
The actress also pointed out that the severity of her symptoms during menopause were a consequence of the lifestyle she had years before, as well as bad habits and abandoning herself.
Rosaldo, 52, explained that the symptoms he experienced on a larger scale within this stage were: sudden weight gain, headaches, hair loss, mood changes, palpitations, hot flashes, arrhythmias, numbness and dry skin. , to name a few.
“I was like this for a long time, even years without treatment, without checking my hormone levels and just living with my symptoms that became more and more, because one symptom leads to another and another and another until I collapsed when it started. to raise the pressure every day”he added.
Months later, Alessandra Rosaldo discovered that not all of her symptoms were derived from menopause, because after four hospitalizations for unbearable headaches she was given a clear diagnosis.
“Until finally, on the third or fourth, they told me: ‘You are hypertensive, you have high, very high blood pressure’ and then they started to medicate me and it was all a trial and error for the dose and so on.“, he concluded.
