Shakira and Karol G at the Met Gala for the first time. This Monday, the Colombian singers made their debut at the most important event in the world of fashion.
Karol G was the first to arrive on the red carpet from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and surprised with a fairy tale look.
The singer of “Provence” She wore a cream-colored dress with lots of rhinestones. made by Marc Jacobs. In styling, she opted for long platinum blonde hair, which he decorated with a tiara on her forehead and simple makeup.
A detail of her look that caught attention is that she used a type of prosthesis on her ears that made them look elongated and pointed like those of an elf.
Before arriving on the red carpet, the “Provenza” singer left her hotel completely covered with an umbrella which had a cream-colored fabric, which did not reveal Karol G’s look.

The “Acróstico” singer was waited for by a crowd of people around the hotel where she is staying. in New York to see her red carpet look and to cheer her on for her Met Gala debut.
Two hours before the event, Shakira confirmed on her social networks that she would attend the Met Gala for the first time. “Hello, New York!” wrote the Colombian along with a photo of a box with some sweets with some photos of dresses alluding to the event.
What is this year’s theme and dress code?
The theme of this edition of the gala is “Sleeping Beauties: the awakening of fashion”which promises a fusion between the historical and the technological, and The dress code is “The Garden of Time”, inspired by the story of the same name by JG Ballard.
It is a short story that presents two aristocrats immersed in an environment of beauty surrounded by chaos, so this Monday you could see many outfits inspired by period costumes.
