Malaysian national team player attacked with acid in a shopping center

A video published on social networks showing how footballer Faisal Halim was left after he was sprayed with acid while walking through a shopping center.

After this unfortunate episode, the Malaysian police issued a statement in which they are looking for the player’s attacker. At the moment there are no images nor is the identity of the person responsible for the incident known, for which the authorities are already carrying out the respective investigations.

Faisal Halim, 26 years old, is a striker who has played a total of 32 matches for the Malaysian National Team, with which he has scored around 15 goals in various competitions. He began his professional career in 2016 with Sri Pahang of Malaysia with whom he played five seasons.

The attack received by Halim is not the first that has happened to a footballer in Malaysia in recent days after last Friday Akhyar Rashid, a Terengganu FC player, was the victim of a violent robbery that left him with several injuries both on his head as in a leg.
