The Houston Astros completed the sweep against the Colorado Rockies last weekend in the two-game Major League series that took place in Mexico City where one of the main stars of the sidereal ninth, Jose Altuvewas delighted with the atmosphere that was experienced at the Alfredo Harp Helú stadium.
The Astros’ Venezuelan second baseman was so satisfied that he even assured that he is not closed to the possibility that at some point in his successful career he could play with the Red Devils in Mexican baseball. Of course, after finishing his current five-year contract with the sidereal team.
“Yes, why not? (I would play in Mexico). He also pointed out how much he liked the Mexican capital, so in the not too distant future he would like to be able to repeat the experience of playing a Major League game in Mexico City or simply be able to visit the country.
“We appreciate the support of the Mexican fans. We don’t want to leave, we had a great time here because it is a very beautiful city. I just hope to return one day. Many things that I liked, starting with the two victories, and that we got to know the city, we walked and then arrived and won. “I would like to come to Mexico, next year or the next”declared the Venezuelan.
“What I can say is that coming to Mexico, the fans gave us immense support and we felt at home. Baseball has been growing more and more in the country. The Houston Astros are not having the expected performance at the beginning of the season and without counting this Monday’s day in the Major Leagues, the sidereal team has a record of 9-19, occupying the last place in the Western Division of the American League.
