Abraham Oseguera, alias “Don Rodo,” was arrested by Mexican authorities the previous week in Jalisco, However, early Sunday morning a judge ordered his release.
After a 17-hour hearing, The court considered that there were not enough elements to bring this individual to trial for crimes against health and possession of weapons for the exclusive use of the armed forces, that the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic had accused him of.
In addition to being the brother of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho”, Don Rodo is considered one of the main coordinators of logistical and financial operations dedicated to money laundering and in charge of drug trafficking and sale for the criminal organization of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel to which he allegedly belongs. The narrative presented by the prosecution ensures that Abraham was in possession of a high-caliber arsenal and drugs at the time of his capture, however relatives of the accused assured that federal elements had committed abuses and possible robberies during the operation to capture him.
