Tragedy in Georgia mall: man shoots to death his ex-wife and then shoots himself

Authorities reported that A man shot and killed a woman, believed to be his ex-wife, then shot her new husband and then himself at a Georgia shopping center. Saturday night.

Lilburn police said in a news release that the 62-year-old suspect entered the Tana Food Mart along Lawrenceville Highway with a gun around 6 p.m.

Shortly after, he shot and killed a 57-year-old woman, then shot another 62-year-old man in the leg. The two victims reportedly worked at the store.

After shooting the couple, police said The suspect shot himself in the head in an attempt to take his own life.

The suspect and male victim were transported to Northside Gwinnett Hospital for treatment.

Police detailed that the suspect was listed in critical condition.while the male victim, believed to be the murdered woman’s new boyfriend, was in stable condition.

None of the three people involved in the incident have been publicly identified by police, pending notification of next of kin.

A heavy police presence was seen at Merchants Walk Plaza in Lilburn, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.

Investigators said the shooting was a domestic violence incident. The woman is believed to be the suspect’s ex-wife, police said, according to The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Police said preliminary information indicated the three were arguing before the suspect allegedly shot the couple, according to WXIA-TV.

The incident remains under investigation.
