Several customers will be happy after Costco, one of the largest price chains in the world, brought back their bakeries iconic mini snickerdoodle cakes, or so it seems.
The account from Instagram @Costcosister uploaded a video, where you can see a lot with several packages of six pieces of these mini cakes at a price of $8.100 dollars each . These cupcakes stopped appearing on the shelves since October of last year.
According to the publication, the cupcakes were seen at a Costco in Burbank, California, although users of the social networks have said that they have also seen them in the state of Massachusetts.
The mini cupcakes consist of a cheese, cream and cinnamon glaze on a cinnamon cake. The package weighs more than 44 ounces, that is about 7 ounces per piece, or just under half a pound.
Through Reddit several users have shared their experiences with this type of candy. Most agree that they are to the liking of their palate. Opinions are divided when it comes to portion sizes and how much they can satisfy the stomach.
It is well known that Costco often rests some of its products from its shelves and then reintroduces them to the market. There are products that stopped being produced for a few months and there are others that disappeared for years, such as the case of the poppy seed and almond muffin, due to the Covid pandemic 14. In the case of the muffins, the nostalgia of his followers was so great that recipes began to appear on the internet on how to prepare and enjoy them in confinement.
The return of the mini snickerdoodle cakes could be the sign of an early return of several mini cakes that are sought after in the bakery area. Just remember the “mini” version of the All American chocolate cake that was discontinued in 2020, as well as the carrot cake.
