The Mexican Isaac Alarcón was not included in the roster of 53 players of the Dallas Cowboys ahead of the start of the season 2021/22 of the NFL . However, his dream lives on: the offensive lineman will remain on the practice team, continuing his development with the Texas organization.

Alarcón , a native of Monterrey and with only 23 years , he will be on the practice team as an exception of the roster, as he is a member of the NFL International Player Development Program . This exception allows Dallas to activate it in an emergency.

Isaac Alarcón played four preseason games and showed improvement over last year. He himself admitted it in his statements:

My coaches and teammates told me that I have improved a lot from last season. Right now I am able to play in preseason. I thank God I did not play last year because I was not mentally ready, to be honest. This year I improved my knowledge, it has been really good ”.

“This is a blessing for me. I am thanking God every day for the opportunity I have.”

Isaac Alarcón hopes to stay with the # DallasCowboys and have a chance to play.

Even if he doesn’t make his NFL debut this season, being able to continue practicing with the team is a fundamental step towards fulfilling his dream. He will keep learning in the elite and it will be a matter of time before he receives the opportunity to put it into practice in an official match.

He wants to stay in Dallas. And the Cowboys reward him with development opportunities with the near future in mind. This is how Isaac Alarcón’s journey continues, seeking to materialize his dream in the NFL.

Cowboys OL Isaac Alarcón, who was profiled on Hard Knocks, won’t be making the 53 -man roster, source said. But the Mexico native will remain with Cowboys on practice squad as a roster exemption, part of the NFL International Player Pathway program. His journey continues.
