Mexico approves use of Chinese CanSino and Sinovac vaccines against COVID-19
The vaccines against COVID - 19, developed by the Chinese laboratories CanSino Biologics and Sinovac were approved by the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks of Mexico (Cofepris) for emergency use in people of 18 years or more. Hugo López-Gatell, Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion explained that these vaccines have shown low efficacy compared to others, however, as more data accumulates and with the advancement of information it is possible that this changes and there is a higher estimate.
