Interest in cryptocurrencies has been evolving and not only for individuals but also for regular financial entities, therefore Citibank due to the interest that its clients have shown in crypto assets, the entity announced the launch of a service in digital assets and cryptocurrencies.
This is the Digital Assets Group that will work for some exclusive clients under the Wealth Management Division; and will be included in the service the most popular cryptocurrencies, non-fungible tokens (NFT), stablecoins and CBDCs, which are the digital currencies of central banks.
Citibank has not yet given many details about how they will work, so it is not very clear what type of clients will be able to access this service, but it is presumed that they are VIP clients as well as other entities financial institutions have done it.
Through a statement, the entity said that the new department will focus on the aspects of finance space on the blockchain, which is growing very fast.
