Marlins Minor League Camp Seized by COVID-19 Cases

The team of the Miami Marlins decided to take a hiatus from the minor league day this weekend due to the multiple positive cases of coronavirus that were registered during the last check-up.

A source from the team told ESPN that The players who tested positive were already isolated from the rest of the squad, but still believe it is ideal to stop training.

The @ Marlins closed their minor league field due to a COVID outbreak – , in which at least five players were infected with the coronavirus, reported Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

The team assured that does not believe that the current outbreak will have a major impact in the Minor League season , which starts in a month.

The Marlins Major League team faced a COVID outbreak – last season, and was quarantined in Philadelphia for more than a week at the start of the season. Once cleared, they made up lost games and eventually made it to the second round of the postseason.
