LA Galaxy footballer is sanctioned for making homophobic comments against Mexican Julián Araujo

In the post, the Argentine footballer touched the nape of his Mexican partner, Julián Araujo, and said “put…” in training.

This post was immediately deleted and the player apologized for his behavior.

The MLS made its decision on the footballer of 28 year old. As the statement clarifies, Lletget will have to serve a two-game sanction with the Galaxy team , in addition to paying a fine whose value has not been specified.

The ‘Galacticos’ midfielder must attend a diversity, equity and inclusion course to be taught by the non-profit LGBTQ sports advocacy organization, Athlete Ally .

In this sense, Sebastián Lletget will miss the next two Los Angeles Galaxy games ; on Sunday, before New York Red Bulls and against Seattle Sounders on May 2.
