Bárbara Ferrer, health director of the entity, urged all Angelenos to go and get vaccinated for their own good and that of their relatives. Although the percentages of infected and death continue to decline, there are still a large number of people who continue to be victims for not following safety guidelines and not getting vaccinated.

” For those who are afraid of getting vaccinated due to the very small possibility of a serious side effect, think about the other activities that we do in which they also have a small possibility of a bad result, “said Ferrer.

“For example, the risk of dying during a car trip of 200 miles in the state of California is about one in a million, but if someone told you they would take you on an all expenses paid vacation to Monterey, I would probably go. ”

The director stressed that the risk of having a serious side effect from the covid vaccine – 19 is minimal or very low. So he insisted that if people are looking to drastically reduce the risk of becoming infected with covid – or die from an infection, getting vaccinated is an exceptionally powerful tool to do so.

The director also reminded the Angelenos to continue with the security measures to avoid being victims of the pandemic, particularly in these moments that are expected to be final to have a more complete control of the disease.
