It was known that due to the attack no player was injured . However, the club published a statement rejecting the action.

“Limits were crossed that are non-negotiable for Schalke . Despite all the frustration and anger resulting from relegation to Bundesliga 2, the club will never accept in danger the physical integrity of their players and employees ”, they sentenced.
