TEXAS – The two victims who perished in the spectacular accident involving a Tesla vehicle this last weekend in the Woodlands area, Texas were identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Engineer Everett Talbot, from 69 years, and his friend Dr. William Varner, of 50 years, they died inside the Tesla that crashed into a tree and exploded in calling Saturday night near the Carlton Woods Creekside neighborhood west of Woodlands, the Woollands area is located miles north of downtown Houston.

The men were traveling in a Tesla Model S 2019. Talbot and Varner, who were friends, had just dropped off their wives at a residence and were riding in the vehicle to test it out when the tragedy occurred.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene after a report of an explosion near a forest after a Tesla veered off the road, authorities reported.
The Tesla was traveling to a speed and the driver lost control in a curve. The Tesla crashed into a tree before bursting into flames.

Upon arrival at the scene, the firefighters found two bodies inside the vehicle, one in the front passenger seat and the other in the back seat.
The batteries onboard the Tesla continued to burn despite the efforts of firefighters who they were trying to extinguish the flames.
According to authorities, firefighters fought the fire for a period of four hours and spent 23, 000 gallons of water to be able to turn it off.

Data logs recovered so far show Autopilot was not enabled & this car did not purchase FSD.
Moreover, standard Autopilot would require lane lines to turn on, which this street did not have.

Federal and local authorities are investigating the case and both have requested Tesla the documentation obtained from the accident.
