20-year-old Hispanic boyfriend kills 16-year-old girlfriend with gunshot to head in Houston; Was it accidental?

TEXAS – A young Hispanic woman from 16 years was found dead with a bullet in the head inside a residence northwest of Houston this Friday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the victim’s boyfriend, who called 911, next to the body.

The man of 20 years he identified himself as the girl’s boyfriend and gave them his version of what happened to the investigators saying that it was all an accident.

The incident occurred around 7pm on the block 11000 on Smokehollow Street near the intersection of Sam Houston Tollway and Fallbrook Dr.

An investigator at the scene told ABC 13 that the man identified as Alexander Valenzuela is the suspected suspect in the deadly shooting .

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed González, Valenzuela was the young woman’s boyfriend and was the one who shot her. Valenzuela called 911 and reported the shooting, but no further details have been given about the motive.

At the beginning of the investigation, officials were under the impression that it was an accidental shooting after the The boyfriend told investigators that they were playing with the weapon, but upon further investigation they realized that Valenzuela’s version did not match what was found at the scene.

Officers said they found Valenzuela inside the residence when they arrived and that at the same time the suspect’s sister was also arriving, she gave the police a different version than the one her brother had told.
