Disney will release an animated series starring Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi will venture into the small screen with an animated series that Disney will make and which will seek to inspire children and young people to fulfill their dreams.

Through a statement released to the media, the platform Disney+ announced the project “Messi and the giants”which will tell the story of a young man 12-year-old Leo who will travel from Argentina to a fantastic world to fight giant monsters.

Each 22-minute episode takes a journey that focuses on the protagonist’s personal growth. In the series, which is action and adventure, Messi will be seen in his young version, already with an extraordinary talent, but also with a huge problem.

The once prosperous fictional world of Iko is torn apart and at the mercy of the giants who rule the 10 kingdoms. Only one hero can save them… and he’s the size of a flea. Because of this, young Leo is dragged from Earth to lead the fight against the tyrannical villains who have the 10 kingdoms under control.
