The stage of Hirving “Chucky” Lozano at PSV Eindhoven and in European football is about to close this Sunday with the last match that the Mexican forward will play before joining San Diego FC of the MLS, so he showed his most emotional side when remembering what his time in the Dutch club.
“The people, the city, the country, everything. “I take with me many memories and many beautiful feelings”commented the player in an interview with the PSV press department prior to this Sunday’s match against Feyenoord, also played by Mexican Santiago Giménez.
“Chucky” Lozano did not want to miss the opportunity to thank the affection he received during his two stages with the Eindhoven team, which he joined in 2017 from Pachuca in the Liga MX and to which he returned in 2023 after a long stage in Naples of the Italian Serie A.
“Gratitude, thank you for supporting me, for the affection, for the treatment you showed me. I send you a hug and thank you for everything.”added the 29-year-old player who spent the last six months on loan at PSV after having reached an agreement with San Diego FC that will debut in the MLS in 2025.
Hirving “Chucky” Lozano, who won the Eredivisie with PSV on a couple of occasions, the most recent last season, recalled what have been his best moments since his arrival at the Dutch club with which he lived a large number of nice experiences.
“My best moment with PSV? I think there are many. The first games in the Champions League were very important for me, but of course there are also the championships.”said the Mexican attacker who will say goodbye in front of his fans at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven.
He already has a date for his debut in the MLS
San Diego FC, Hirving “Chucky” Lozano’s team that will be making its debut in the next Major League Soccer season, will face the current champion of the tournament Los Angeles Galaxy in a match corresponding to the first day that will be played on Sunday, February 23.
The Mexican striker’s new club already knew that they would be facing off against the Los Angeles team, but the date of the match that would take place at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles, home of the Galaxy, had yet to be defined.
Subsequently, San Diego FC and “Chucky” Lozano will be making their debut in front of their fans on the next date of the championship, Saturday, March 1, hosting St. Louis City at Spandragon Stadium in San Diego.
