The state lived in “relative peace” because it was a single criminal group that dominated, and when that happened, “the security situation was ideal because there were no clashes between groups and that guaranteed security,” as the former president of Mexico previously expressed. , Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Adrián López, director of Noroeste, and reporter José Abraham Sanz, carried out an investigation that revealed that In the wave of disappearances the victims are not only youngbut also middle-aged, elderly and even minor men.

The historical maximum of disappearances in the entity, registered in 2019, has been surpassed by the kidnappings and illegal deprivations of liberty that have occurred since September.

The other case is that of Jesús Tomás Félix Félix, who disappeared on November 1 and whose family began a hunger strike in front of the Cathedral. In this regard, Governor Rubén Rocha Moya expressed that “the authorities are taking measures, but the results are not immediate… Progress has not been as fast as we would like. “We are working alongside federal forces to improve security and reduce violence, although we know there is still much to do.”
