The former president of the House of Representatives sees that, Should Kamala Harris attempt to compete on the ballot to replace Gavin Newsom at the head of the California government, she will likely be defeated.

During his participation in the television program “America’s Newsroom” Fox News, Kevin McCarthy spoke about the changes coming to the Democratic Party and how some politicians should reinvent themselves before seeking new office.

Regarding Kamala Harris, who has been talked about, could prepare to run for governor of her home state, The Bakersfield Republican sees that it would be a mistake to see her run for said position.

“If I came back to California, I wouldn’t win the governor’s race. So you should reconsider your position.” express.

McCarthy maintains that Kamala Harris can still have another good chance in politics, but noted that she must carefully analyze the next step she will take, since “she has never really done well in long campaigns.”

“In your case, I would choose to move away a little, reconstruct the problems and analyze the aspects that can be improved to be able to return. And the way to return is really based on a problem and an idea to improve the country,” he stressed.

The Republican politician also noted that, participating in a traditional pre-election primary, the incumbent vice president would likely not have been the Democratic party’s candidate.

Despite the accusations against her, the 60-year-old Californian made Donald Trump look bad in the presidential debate they held and, in terms of fundraising, managed to raise more than $1 billion dollars.

However, she and her team of advisors failed to take advantage of both points in their favor.

In the end, in addition to being beaten on the ballot, all the money raised through his supporters was wasted on advertising.

As part of her career, in 2010 and 2014, Kamala Harris was twice elected Attorney General of California and, two years later, she became the second African American and the first of Indian descent to serve in the Senate, a position she held until being invited by Joe Biden to accompany him as a running mate.
