From his days as a comedian on “Saturday Night Live” to his busy love life with figures like Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson has always been in the public eye.

However, the actor and comedian’s recent past marks a new beginning, as Davidson has decided to venture into the world of fashion. With this, he has gone on to explore a totally different role than the one we are used to seeing him.

The 31-year-old actor and comedian made his industry debut as the new creative director of Doublesoul, a New York-based sock brand. This role isn’t typical for someone who has been known more for his pranks and performances than his personal style, but for Davidson, this project represents a genuine effort to connect with an audience that goes beyond his jokes.

News of his new role as creative leader came via a recent interview with W Magazine, in which Davidson shared his reasons behind this transition. Unlike her previous steps in the spotlight, where she has been a model and face of various campaigns, this time she opted for a different path. “Everyone needs socks”said Davidson, who acknowledged that he had not previously considered the possibility of becoming so directly involved in fashion.

In the interview, the comedian explained that approaching Doublesoul was something natural. “When I got the offer, I thought, ‘Well, how hard can it be to design socks?’ ‘Everyone wears socks’”he confessed between laughs. Brand co-founder Allison Strumeyer recalled her first meeting with Davidson, noting how quickly he grasped the essence of the brand and how his ideas reflected a deep understanding of contemporary culture. “Within minutes of sitting down, he began to share a list of ideas that revealed his vision of what defines current cultural events”Strumeyer commented.

This new challenge in Davidson’s career is not only an opportunity to explore his creative side, but also a reflection of his personal and professional maturity. In the interview, he did not avoid talking about the lessons he has learned throughout his life in Hollywood and how these have influenced him when making decisions. “I have learned that less is more”he explained. “In the industry, sometimes you feel like you have to accept every offer that comes in, but over the years I realized that the important thing is to be authentic and not simply follow the trends of the moment”.

Davidson’s debut in fashion through Doublesoul not only marks a new chapter in his career, but also a new focus on how he wants to be seen in the industry and in life in general. “I don’t want to be just a comedian or a face in an advertising campaign.”said. “I want to do good work, and to do that I have to stay focused on what really matters.”

Her fashion debut with Doublesoul is a reminder that sometimes, big changes start with the simplest details, like a pair of socks.
