Thomas Douglas Homan, who was chosen by Donald Trump to perform as “border czar” in charge of the mass deportation of immigrants that he intends to implement as soon as he assumes the presidency of the country, He highlighted the willingness shown by Democrat Eric Adams, mayor of New York, to support him with the strategy.

After having held a meeting with the African-American politician who during the last two years has allocated more than $6 billion dollars to help nearly 220,000 immigrants who arrived in the “Iron City,” the “border czar” was optimistic about that, upon learning of their strategy to deport foreigners without documentation proving their stay, Adams will join the initiative.

“He truly cares about public safety and is putting politics aside. He wants to help ICE remove criminal threats from the streets. He wants to help ICE look for threats to national security. He wants to help ICE find more than 340,000 missing children, many of whom will be in the city. So it was a great meeting.

We take our hats off to the mayor for coming to the table and working with us“, he expressed.

The former director of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service considered that, with the support offered by the New York mayor, he will be able to restore tranquility to the city sooner.

“I think New York City is about to send a strong message to the rest of the world that we are taking appropriate steps to address the threats to public safety, especially those people who should not be in this country to begin with… We are going to make New York a safer place,” he said.

Tom Homan revealed that other Democrats are replicating Eric Adams’ willingness to work with the new federal administration.

“I have been contacted by two other mayors, including Governor (jay Robert) Pritzker… he is willing to sit down. So I think what Mayor Adams did is not only good for New York City, but I think it’s going to have a ripple effect. I hope that some of the mayors will show up after seeing the success we had,” he stressed.
