The Spanish Óscar García Junyent was announced this Monday as the new coach of the Guadalajara club, the second most winning team in Mexican soccer.
Born 51 years ago in Sabadell, García Junyent arrives at the Rebaño Sagrado, which by tradition plays with Mexican cigars, with the mission of making a leap in quality in an entity that has not won a title since 2017.
Guadalajara officials hope that the new coach, who began his career in 2009, will promote young talents from the academy, as he did during his time at RB Salzburg and Stade Remis.
The Chivas de Guadalajara trust in strengthening their squad with the young people who are trained in their academy.
