Several members of President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming Cabinet have received bomb threats or other violent attacks, said Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the Trump-Vance transition team.

“Last night and this morning, several of President Trump’s administration’s Cabinet nominees and appointees were subjected to violent, anti-American threats against their lives and those who live with them,” Leavitt reported.

He added that the corresponding authorities were called to report the threats, in addition to increasing the security of the people who received the threats, although it was not specified who the possible victims were.

“These attacks ranged from bomb threats to gun attacks,” Leavitt added. “In response, law enforcement and other authorities acted quickly to ensure the safety of those targeted.”

Leavitt said President-elect Trump and his transition team “are grateful” for the quick action of authorities.

“With President Trump as our example, dangerous acts of intimidation and violence will not deter us,” he said.
