They find 6 bodies stacked with signs of torture on a highway in Tamaulipas

A macabre event has shocked the residents of San Fernando, Tamaulipas, in Mexico: six tortured and stacked bodies were found on federal highway 97 that goes from Reynosa to San Fernando.

The six bodies found in the Ejido Plan de Alazán were stacked, They showed signs of torture, were handcuffed and had gunshot wounds..

At first, it was unknown if they were men, women, or both, but some witnesses confirmed to local media that there were six men, who were transferred to the Forensic Medical Service facilities.

After the discovery of the six bodies, reported around 9:00 am, security authorities found one more body, this time in the municipality of Altamira, but now it was a woman.

This event occurs after an escalation of violence that has plagued the region for a week, with road blockades, armed attacks and shootings that have caused the closure of businesses, absenteeism in schools, murdered police officers and killed criminals, thanks to the confrontation between two factions of the Gulf Cartel: The Meters and The Scorpions.

A few hours before the discovery, several armed men attacked members of the State Guard with explosive drones, causing them injuries, not serious ones, and damaging a patrol in San Fernando.

On November 19, several elements of the State Guard were ambushed on the highway, causing the death of three of them. Three criminals also diedwhile others managed to take over the patrol.

Later, another armed commando attacked the elements that were transporting one of the deceased, an attack that caused injuries to 5 companions, the death of another and the death of one of the criminals.

In this week, The wave of violence has caused 12 homicides in Tamaulipaswithout specifying whether the figures also include the criminals killed, according to the National Security Commission.

The organization Causa en Común, in Tamaulipas, reports that from January 1 to October 31 of this year, 12 police officers have been murderednot counting the recent homicides in November, which places the state as one of the most dangerous in Mexico for officers.
