Appointed by Donald Trump as ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee showed the position he will assume upon entering office regarding the war conflict between the Jewish nation and the Islamic group Hamas.

Since October 7 of last year, when members of the Islamic Resistance Movement—known as Hamas—surprisingly entered southern Israel from the Gaza Strip to carry out an attack that took the lives of more than 1,200 people. and they also took 250 hostages, a conflict began that involves the Palestinian community, causing more than 44,000 deaths, mostly children and women.

Although the international community is beginning to condemn Israel’s strategy to try to put an end to Hamas, as hundreds of innocent Palestinians die every day, the US government continues to support the Zionist government with financial resources and weapons, considering it to be fighting terrorism.

Less than two months before a new administration begins to operate in the White House, everything indicates that this support for Benjamin Netanyahu’s strategy will continue.

In fact, during an interview with the news network NewsNation, former governor of Arkansaswho will serve as ambassador to Israel, was blunt in demanding that Hamas release the seven American citizens it has held for 13 months.

“We have seven American hostages held by Hamas, but The United States is putting more pressure on Israel than on the Iranian-funded terrorists who massacred Jewish civilians. I can’t understand it.

“Those hostages must be released and held accountable, then, and only then, should Israel or anyone else even consider (the idea of a ceasefire),” Huckabee said.

Meanwhile, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants against Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister; of Yoav Gallant, former Minister of Defense; and Mohammed Diab Ibrahim Al-Masri, whom as a member of Hamas He is also identified as Mohammed Deif.

“The Chamber found that there are reasonable grounds to believe that both individuals intentionally and knowingly deprived the civilian population of Gaza of objects indispensable for their survival, including food, water, medicines and medical supplies, as well as fuel and electricity,” the panel wrote. of three judges on the Israeli officials cited.
