A joint operation between members of the Mexican Army and the National Guard in the state of Sonora, led to the arrest of Ramon Enrique “N”alias “The Kiki”second in command of the criminal group “The Pelones”.

According to media such as El Universal, the detainee maintained alliances with Eric Jesús, alias “Delta 1”leader of the “Deltas” in Sonora.

Both maintain a dispute against “Los Salazar”, “Los Cuzas” and Los “Alfas”, groups antagonistic to Los Chapitos, who fight for the control of drug and immigrant trafficking, as well as the illegal introduction of weapons from the United States to Mexico. .

In a statement, the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) indicated that the capture occurred in the city of Caborca ​​as a result of a coordinated investigation between the National Intelligence Center (CNI) and the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR).

Among other functions, “El Kiki” was responsible for maintaining control in Sonora through extortions, homicides and kidnappings. During his arrest he was in possession of powerful weapons, although he did not resist when he was detained.

However, after being subdued by the authorities, alleged convoys of organized crime groups went out to “patroll” the streets of Caborca, some of which were captured on video, according to the newspaper El Financiero.
