Álvaro Morata, prominent figure of AC Milan and captain of the Spanish teamwas hospitalized on Thursday after suffering a severe blow in the head during a training session with his team.

The incident, which has generated great concern both in his club and in the fans, calls into question his participation in the next Serie A match against Cagliari, as well as his call-up for international commitments with Spain in the Nations League.

After the impact, Morata was immediately transferred to the Legnano hospital, north of Milan, where instrumental tests were performed to rule out any type of serious injury.

Fortunately, preliminary medical examinations revealed no significant damage, which has brought some relief to the player’s fans and teammates.

However, doctors decided to keep the striker under observation overnight to monitor his progress and ensure there are no further complications.

AC Milan, through sources close to the club, has conveyed calm regarding the situation, although an estimated recovery time for the footballer has not been specified.

Morata could miss matches with Spain

With only two days left until the match against Cagliari, it seems unlikely that Morata is available to join the team in this Italian league duel, which would represent a significant loss for the “rossoneri”.

His health status will be re-evaluated in the coming hours to determine if his participation is viable or if he will require additional time of rest.

In addition to his importance for Milan, Morata’s situation has implications for the Spanish team.

This Friday, the coach Luis de la Fuente will announce the squad list for the Nations League clashes against Denmark, scheduled for November 15, and Switzerland, on November 18. Morata, a key piece in De la Fuente’s scheme, is now a doubt for these international commitments.
